As humans, historically (and as Westerners, certainly), we prefer *not* to remain in situations that hold discomfort. Understandably.
However, we've become so inoculated to discomfort or, perhaps, so addicted to *comfort* and to *convenience,* that we can't even sit in a traffic jam without elevated blood pressure, breathing rate, muscle tension.
But what if we could learn sustained discomfort? What if we could learn again to breathe? What if we could tap into the ability to sit with and in discomfort? What if we could acknowledge it and welcome it as a teacher?
Imagine the strength. Imagine the possibilities.
