Humans are just entirely too complicated.
Because what's it really about? Enough warmth, enough light, enough sustenance--all of which, if we were compassionate to each other and the natural world around us, could be found locally with a little cooperation.
But no--give me the owls and the hawks, the birches and pines, the cats and the wolves, the grasses and the herbs, the mud and the weather. I think I'll take care of myself for a while.
