I think we can all admit this method doesn't work, this method that only drives us to get up again in the night, take care of the thing we stubbornly ignored all day. (Funny thing, that selective willpower...).
To begin a thing--anything--takes the mystery out of it. The mere act of sitting down, putting pen to paper, opening your mouth, showing up. All that stuff, that beginning stuff--that's the thing done, essentially.
It's the tossing and turning beforehand, the putting off and putting aside that kills our sleep in the end.
