For all the time we spend with ourselves, we really don't know each other well, do we? We know our needs, can identify them at least, even if we can't always feed them without bias or sentiment, nostalgia or judgment.
The need for rest often goes ignored in favor or what? Distraction? Entertainment? Worry? And while all but the latter feel restful, we find too quickly they are not. Rest, true rest, comes in working the body so the mind can quiet. From hiking to knitting, farming to weaving, cross-stitch to whittling. It doesn't matter what you do with your hands, your feet, as long as your head is minimally involved.
Involve your body, your mind will quiet.
Quiet your mind, and rest will come.
